Crack the Whip and Spare the Rod.

All my life I have lived a pet or two and sometimes my I don't know if I have more people or more animals living in my house. There is where I became an animal lover and capable of bringing up any animal, be it a rabbit, a squrrel or even a turtle. I could take care of them all.

Leaving my personal animal sanctuary aside, let me talk about the present day scenario these animal go through. The sights I see on the roadside, or maybe my own building in that case, are not very pleasent. And I don't think you would find it very encouraging to see a dog beaten or being stoned by someone. Maybe it would if you were stone hearted. You wouldn't bear the sight of seeing a small puppy being hit by a car and the hind legs crushed. And all that you hear is the quite moan of pain that comes out through its nearly lifeless mouth. I don't think you would be able to stand and see it suffer.

That's exactly what happened with me today.....and the ugliest affair was that there was a crowd gathered who stopped to see the fun but no one cared to take it to the animal hospital just a few minutes from that place.

Around 100 dogs and other animals die daily because many think that it is either under their dignity to take a hurt or dying animal to the doctor, or they do not have much time for the mute being. Many a times its our carelessness which takes the life of an innocent creature.

One thing I would like to let my fellow bloggers know is that....to save a life doesn't need dignity nor does it need courage..........it just needs a kind heart.

The last note of my blog as always........

When you cannot 'Create life' .............you    'Save it'

When crows become carnivores.....

'Every dog has his day', that is a phrase everyone mouths and I still don't know its importance. But one thing I know about the strays in this city that they forgotten what food is. Our city is so crowded that leave dogs even people hunt for food in the garbage bins and trust me seeing a five year old hunting for food among the remains is very discouraging. The situation has got so bad that local trains overspill with people and we still curse the 'Bhayas' for the over-flooded Mumbai we see today.

But let me not stray from my topic and tell you what I intend to. One thing I think everyone should know about is the crisis situation we put ourselves into by keeping things unknown and yet feel that it is someone in particular or the government who is responsible for the pain and trouble the poor go through.....then the masses awake and the blame game continues.

My people of this city are really brave they could manage to put others down even when they know that life is equally difficult for them. Some of my cousins came home from Kerela and they shocked me by saying that nearly half of the kerelaites working abroad have got jobless and have come back home. That reminds me of Mumbai and how many actually fail to be the fittest to survive in such a large city.

Many a times we end up thinking to our selves........'why do we live in this scarcity......and why do people suffer.....Is there no god' and such kind of crap. But have we ever tried to analyse things and find alternate solutions to it. I don't think so. If the tree doesn't give fruits anymore cut it down......that's the kind of outlook people have grown in them and never try to think that if the other way.

Its always the weaker who suffer and that why it always hurts more to see the suffering. This blog is not for a feel I have nothing to write about but problems of the poor but it is for the thought that we suffer because people below our economic level suffer and that is not a good sign. One thing we fail to realise is that better that cribbing, crying and fighting over things we should convince peolple to adapt to different ways to get something out of the impossible.

We never tried and now we should........i bet it would make a difference.
Atleast you would not have to watch 5 year olds eating our waste from the bin.

Recreate....Re-Innovate.....Rejuvinate.

WOW!!!! Just didn't know that every second person in this country lives with the fear of something unseen happening. And that's truebecause just yesterday I had an old neighbour of ours visit us and there I had a golden chance to hear the gossip which had long ago left my ears and now I had my priviledges again. But the story this time was sad......it wasn't about someone but something. She went on to say, " this B.M.C. you know has dug up a deep pit in Andheri, just scared that when it rains my house shoudn't get flooded, I live on the ground floor na...." So I asked her where this digging work was actually happening only to get her to get a weird look(actually I butted into their conversation) and an answer which I wanted to laugh at but couldn't, she said,"its a little away from my house, maybe a 15-20 minute." Whosh!!! That cannot be a better presumption.

Moving on from this, one thing I would like to talk about is the monsoon's. Its one thing I guess everyone's waiting for and for the fact in anticipation. So the thing I want to tell is that why can't we do a little banking with rain water this year. This would in a way help us to know how to invest in something so precious. For example, just collect the rain water in buckets on your terrace or some place and use them in your daily works like the toilet. Please don't take bath with it. Reserving it now would at least reduce the daily water wastage we end up doing.

Speaking about water, I don't think we would get any good water coming in our houses if we don't take care of the waste going out of house. It has to some extent actually damaged the water supply in the way of the fluid from the decomposing garbage seeping into to the soil and mixing with the ground water. In a few years it could be dangerous for entire Mumbai who consumes this water.

Hopefully people understand and know that I am not being selfish nor do I want to stay in Mumbai with this majestic city for myself........it is because if you do not do any thing now, within say 15 years we would see corpses rotting in the side walk and I think that wouldn't be a good sight for any one........so think again....

Water or the Doctor....which one do you choose?

Breathing easy...and peacefully.

I am so happy today that I feel like jumping with joy, the only problem is my neighbours downstairs have a problem with me jumping every now and then. Well the main reason for me to be happy is that I am assured that 'Humanity' is still alive and though it may come for publicity benefits only sometimes......... it comes and benefits someone in need.

In the news today I happened to read about this small boy with a paralysed body, and how he managed to score 71% in his first grade. I don't think an able bodied child could get this good marks........the fact that troubled me a few days ago while reading his article in the newspaper was that this guys father had made him a make shift wheelchair so that he could attend school..........and it has payed off well.

An airline company has now gifted him a wheelchair and this guy and his parents are really happy for this gift. It must have meant a lot for them. But that's how you take a tiny step to help some one and make a difference for them. 'But can we really do this without wanting some thing in return', is the question?

Today I am proud to be called a youth of this nation .........

Still guessing why.......82% of the youth's in this country say that they actually do not want to encourage smoking any more and the best is that they now know the ill effects of the smoky white stick.
I just hope that the rest 18% realise things like I did and quit risking their life for mere pleasure and if they don't this country would have a chance to breathe freely.......yeah 18% of the one billion of the population getting smoked up. At least we could give the unfortunate ones their share.

Never mind about the population issue, it will still be a problem....even till our old age. We have to live adjusting our bum in the local trains. That i think is the best option for now.

Hope to get some comments on this blog....till the Happy Blogging....

A Step 'Lighter'.

Today's kind of special to me. More ecstatic than excited.........todays news hit me like a hurricane and I am happy that not all of the inhabitants of this planet spend most of their time doing nothing. The new hydro-car coming soon would be a emanticipation of this poor little planet and its poor little people.

Most of it is the effort of these handful few that is making a big difference to the world on a larger front and it has brought many of them  globally to taking a step towards making this dream a reality.
To see this planet in 2050 would be dreadful.......how many of us would live upto then. But even if we did I don't think there would be anything left of this time to live with. Imagine this.... no parks, no forests, nothing left that is green and all we see is some engineered world where everything would be controlled by man.

Worst of all you would be one of them who over a period of time would forget how the previous world looked like and I bet you would end up crying for not doing anything when you very well could. Then you can't blame outsiders dirting the place or some ignorant burning up some plastic or you couldn't even curse the millions around the world who smoke.

So the only option I guess is to start off now and do something to make destruction 'A Step Lighter'.
